Gentle Awakenings

The more you begin to become familiar with the filters through which you view all of your experiences, the more you may begin to wonder what is true and what is not.  You also begin to see the filters through which others judge not only themselves but others too.  When you gain this tiny little bit of understanding, the tiny cracks in your heart that created these filters through which you often mistakenly view your worlds opens wider.  They open wider and more light floods in leaving with you ever greater and ever expanding compassion for your self and the journey you have made and others as well.  You may come to a point where your every motivation, interaction, desire and even dreams begin to slowly disappear like morning mist as the sunrises.  As the bright golden light of a brand new day dawns you care less about the things that seemed to matter so much before.  Even love transforms and changes into something much more universal and less possessive.

These moments are precious few.  They can be so bewildering but take heart.  During these times, great transformation is at hand and you will be surrounded with what I’ll simply call the magic of re-creation and your life begins to unfold anew.  Curiosity more than caution are like the rose colored lenses you may newly view the world.  Your understanding may bring little wistful bouts of deflation or concern.  Let it go.  Let it go and just breathe.  All will be revealed in very good time and in the mean-time, you will have much to discover as the years of fears embedded within your consciousness begins to shift and change.  It is painfully beautiful, infinitely peaceful and epic  You will begin to catch the tiniest glimpse of the Source of true love.  You will begin to understand that truth is never dictated by a wounded ego but the things that trigger you most in the behavior you think unsavory in others, the ones  that when you observe really seems to get your goat –- Those are messages from your psyche to your waking conscious mind – “Look here love, there is something here for you, something long forgotten that needs your love, compassion and a new understanding.”
ly empowering.

If only our lives came with consciousness instruction books.  But they don’t and maybe that is okay.  The discovery at each junction, each cross roads, each mountain that seems beyond our ability to climb is simply delicious.  So, get lost in a blue sky, dream with the stars beaming their infinite seeming light, feel the energy of a tiny flower or blade of grass.  Sit under a tree with your back resting gently against it.  Listen there in silence for a few moments, not with your ears but the depths of your soul.  Whether you understand consciously or not makes no difference.  There is a part of you that truly knows how to listen in this way.  Although it may seem a fruitless endeavor, I assure you it isn’t.

Life is teaming with energy, love, and an infinite well of creativity from which we can redesign our lives with much more meaning.  Let go of the small stuff, the tiny judgments of not good enough, unworthy, and the parts that want to disappear in shame for some silly little thing whose consequence you didn’t have the capability to understand from your formative years.  Reach into the heart of your soul and do so patiently until you begin to feel the truth of you and then the understanding of the truth of others and how they have chosen to paint their lives.  This understanding, this expanded interactive view of your life and the lives of others will give you pause to forgive and let go more and more of the things that never really mattered.  Then and only then will you finally be free to focus on that myriad of unique and special and intricately beautiful aspects of life designed just for you.  Freedom, blessings and infinite love for your journey beautiful dreamers.  Higher love and understanding is here.  It’s here.

Anger and the River of Compassion

There are things we see in life that make us very angry. For different reasons ire can rise and before long we are so negatively affected, we lose our ability to think with any form of balance.

Anger and forgiveness are two sentiments which do not seem to go together at all but one can help heal the other. However, you will be unable to navigate the passage way between these two points without opening to the idea of understanding and then compassion.

Thich Nhat Hanh discusses this topic in several of his books and in one book that comes to mind, Be Free Where You Are, this concept is so simply explained. It is so very easy to judge in anger and to even take action on that anger when emotional.

But if we can stop for just a moment and reflect on the message anger is really trying to bring us, we might have an opportunity to glimpse that beautiful light path of understanding that flows like a river of compassion to forgiveness.

It seems impossible to apply to some situations, people or even things we’ve had to contend with. I guess there is a choice to be made and that choice is either carry the heavy weight of anger or open our hearts to the possibility of healing.

We can be angry and justifiably so for any given situation but how does that really sit with you? Do you see that anger, like other emotions is a message to you from you that something within you is trying to push you beyond the superficial and into the deeper end of the river of compassion and love?

It may take a leap sometimes but these passage ways exist. They exist but they don’t really come from the outside. They come from within you. Every emotion and choice begins and ends with you. Whatever you choose, you will choose rightly for you.

If you find discomfort in your choice, reflect. Reflect long and hard on the message that is trying to rise within and you’ll be carried further down stream from anger to forgiveness.

Combined Wisdome of Two Great Works

The Celestine Prophecy, by James Redfield includes great detail on Control Dramas. The Control Dramas are four specific types of manipulations that wounded souls are engaged in to manipulate those around them for love.  The Control Dramas are summarized as:  The Intimidators - who steal energy from others by threatening them.  The Interrogators who steal energy by judging and questioning those around them. The Aloof people who manipulate those around them by manipulating them to attract attention (and energy) to themselves by acting reserved or withdrawing from those around them.  The Poor Me's who manipulate us by making us feel guilty and responsible for them.

If you seek to appease any soul in an active state of performing a control drama, you will learn nothing but
pain. Drawing from the wisdom of ACIM (A Course in Miracles) that touches on this same scenario but in the form of the illusion of the premise of attack in these souls and the illusions held by those on the receiving end, the goal for all involved is to transcend the control drama and stop manipulating others for energy and love. Giving love to all does not mean one offers one's self up as a human sacrifice. Giving love means: 1) you acknowledge the control drama comes from unhealed wounds within a person, 2) that you understand their manipulations and attacks have nothing to do with you at all and has to do with their attempt to transcend pain even through the creation of collateral damage (hurting you), 3) that you can forgive the harm they do to you as they are really only attempting to harm themselves (the attack upon you is an illusion - their premise is an illusion) and 4) that you rise above their battlefields where the blows cannot harm you and refuse to further engage in battle (forgive your brother/sister and forgive yourself...condemn them and condemn yourselves - e.g., counter attack).

Know your limitations, know what is happening in a control drama, know the value of love and forgiveness and know that you do not have to engage in battle. When you draw your sword and do battle with those in a state of an active control drama, you condemn yourself to remaining mired in the illusion.  When you forgive your brothers and sisters, you rise above the battlefield and forgive yourself and set yourself free.  It seems pretty simple but its darn hard to learn. Every soul is worthy of love and every soul is worthy of forgiveness...it's just that it takes a long time sometimes for folks to gain the awareness enough to see. ~Blessings of higher love and understanding dear ones.
